IIOJK: Modi regime begins targeting religious seminaries through puppet agencies
May 31, 2026

In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), the Modi regime has begun targeting religious seminaries and educational institutions through its puppet agencies.

According to the Indian news agency Press Trust of India, the Indian National Investigation Agency conducted raids at three different locations in Srinagar and Shopian.

The NIA raided Jamia Siraj-ul-Uloom in Shopian, an institution that the Indian government has already unilaterally declared illegal.

Furthermore, NIA officials also searched a school located in the area of Imam Sahib in Shopian.

Another team of the central agency raided the residence of the former head of Jamaat-e-Islami, Shahzada Aurangzeb, in Moolu Chitragam.

In the Lal Bazar area of Srinagar, the central agency raided Jamiat-ul-Banat and harassed women.

According to experts, the NIA raids on Muslim religious and educational institutions are clear evidence of the fascist Modi government's anti-Muslim and tyrannical agenda.

Experts have urged the international community and human rights organizations to take immediate notice of the ongoing human rights violations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
