In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian forces in their unabated acts of state terrorism, martyred sixteen Kashmiris during the first five months of this year.

According to data issued by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service today, the Indian Army Rashtriya Rifles, Central Reserve Police Force, Special Operations Group, the Counter Intelligence Kashmir, National Investigation Agency and State Investigation Agency arrested over 1,068 civilians, including youth, students, activists, and women.          

Many of them were booked under draconian laws, including the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and the Public Safety Act, during 1,139 cordon and search operations and house raids carried out during the period.
