The 33rd death anniversary of Pakistani film actress Nasira Begum, popularly known as 'Rani', was observed today.

Born in Lahore in 1941, Rani obtained tremendous success in late 1960s, when she was paired with renowned actor Waheed Murad.

In the 1980s, Rani also worked in several drama serials on Pakistan Television, in which her acting was highly appreciated.

She also won three Nigar Awards. 

Rani died on this day in Karachi in 1993 and laid to rest at Muslim Town cemetery in Lahore.
