United States President Donald Trump has said that the blockade on Iranian ships in the Strait of Hormuz would remain in full force until an agreement is reached, certified, and signed.

In a post on Truth Social, Donald Trump said both sides must take their time and get the deal right.

His statement comes as his administration has played down hopes of an imminent breakthrough in the three-month-old war, which had been raised a day earlier.
