
Renowned singer, music director and composer Sahir Ali Bagga has praised the Punjab government's initiative to establish a state-of-the-art Film City, calling it a vital step toward revitalizing the province's film and media industry.
In an exclusive interview with Radio Pakistan’s correspondent Zafar Iqbal Mayo, Sahir Ali Bagga, the Pride of Performance recipient, extended his gratitude to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for the landmark project of Film City.
He said the entire artist community supports the government's efforts, adding that the Film City will promote local art and portray a message of peace globally.
Sahir Ali Bagga also highlighted the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China. Marking 75 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two nations, Sahir Ali Bagga has recently sung "Mein Dil Tera, Dharkan Tu Meri". He shared that he experienced immense warmth and hospitality from the Chinese people while filming the music video in China.
Sahir Ali Bagga also paid rich tribute to Radio Pakistan, describing it as a historic academy that has nurtured and introduced generations of legendary artists.
Recalling his own journey, the renowned singer and music director shared that he had also worked at the state broadcaster as a musician, composer and singer, adding that the entire artistic community holds Radio Pakistan in the highest regard.
