Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has thanked Switzerland for its support and constructive engagement following the signing of the historic "Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding".

In a post on social media platform X, he said it was a pleasure to meet Vice President and Foreign Minister of Switzerland, Ignazio Cassis, on the sidelines of the ongoing technical talks following the "Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding” in Bürgenstock.

The Prime Minister said we have agreed that successful implementation of "Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding" will contribute to regional peace, stability and global economic prosperity.

Shehbaz Sharif said we affirmed our commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.

The Prime Minister also invited Vice President Ignazio Cassis to visit Pakistan to further strengthen the longstanding friendship between our two countries.
