Air Commodore (R) Syed Gohar Bukhari (Defence Analyst): In the history of global warfare, last year’s air combat between Pakistan and India can be noted as a very brilliant and tactically conceived one. It also has very strategic complications because India lost its relevance in the global politics despite being a huge economic and military power. India lost relevance due to poor militarily and diplomatic performance. On the other side, our leadership showed brilliant performance on both diplomatic and strategic fronts like more vibrant and strong power. Air battle fought on the first night of conflict was the biggest air combat after World War- II. It was some sort of beyond visual non-contact air warfare because no aircraft from either side crossed international border. Pakistan armed forces gained victory over India by dint of their faith in the Allah Almighty, rigorous training as well as integration of weaponry through human warriors. All the segments of our warfare teams were closely integrated with each other. Moreover our civil, military leadership took very bold decisions which widely paid back to Pakistan. Thus we shot down at least eight Indian fighter jets including at least three Rafale fighter jets. These are big achievements which hurt Indian air force’s morale badly.
Brig (R) Amjad Malik (Defence Analyst): India’s political aim of war is to destabilize Pakistan so that Pakistan may not be able to focus on economic and other sectors. Whereas Indian military aim of war with Pakistan is to de-repute and defame Pakistan army in the eyes of general public. However, in last year’s conflict with Pakistan, India badly failed in gaining both the aims. So now Indians are politically weak and their military is not in a position to face their own general public. When the conflict with India started entire Pakistani nation stood behind our brave forces and they supported each and every decision made by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. Field Marshal very prudently carved out war strategy and turned the war from defensive to offensive posture. Therefore, Indians had to retreat. Whereas, motives of war of the US and Iran were totally different from each other. Our military diplomacy made miracles on diplomatic front as our civil military teams completely outclassed Indians from diplomatic front. Afghanistan has become proxy of India, Israel and other hostile nations. But Afghans must realize that we are fully capable of fighting out all forms of terrorism as we have done in the past.
