June 01, 2026

The Pakistan Hajj Mission team has returned two lost bags in Mina to their owners.

Radio Pakistan correspondent Asad Ullah Khan reports from Makkah that the bags contained cash worth over 750,000 Pakistani rupees, expensive mobile phones, and essential travel documents.

In the first incident on May 29, 2026, Saddam-ul-Abideen, Assistant Coordinator deployed at Maktab 4 (Rawaf Mina), found an abandoned brown bag while on duty. The bag was inspected in the presence of Camp Incharge Ala Samee, Qari Abdullah, and Sajjad. It contained 10,160 Saudi riyals (approximately 711,000 Pakistani rupees), 42,350 rupees, an Apple iPhone, a Nusuk card, and the pilgrim’s identification card.

Through the recovered documents, the pilgrim was identified as Abdullah Mahar, residing in Room 401 of Building No. 924. Following a two-day search, Pakistan Hajj Mission staff successfully contacted the pilgrim. The team visited his building and handed over the cash, phone, and documents after proper verification.

In the second incident, the Haram Guides team recovered another lost bag in Mina belonging to a pilgrim. It contained a mobile phone and travel documents. The bag had been left behind when the pilgrim mistakenly forgot it during ablution, causing him distress for about two hours.

The Haram Guides team acted swiftly to trace the pilgrim and safely returned his belongings. The pilgrim praised the dedication and prompt response of the team.
